Iota Pi Chapter Newsletter: Spring 2006
A Zeta Hello!
Dear Iota Pi Alumnae,
The sisters of Iota Pi wish you a happy New Year!
It has been a wonderful 2006 for us so far, and we eagerly anticipate the rest of our semester. At the beginning of the January we were fortunate enough to move into a brand new house located at 464 Kiefaber St. General advisor Nancy Bauman and House Director Sue Seelig, as many of you might remember, have spent the past ten years vying for, planning and designing our new six bedroom ‘mansion’. It is located adjacent to the new RecPlex, and has its own library and chapter room! Needless to say, everyone is enjoying our new accommodations immensely!
Iota Pi is also looking forward to April, when we will have formal, Zeta Days at Youngstown State University, on April 22nd we will have our annual Golf Fore a Cause, and the following day will be our House Dedication Ceremony. We are expecting to greet National Housing Corporation members, and are very excited to confer our new ZTA home! We invite anyone who might be in the Dayton area to stop by and take a tour of the house.
The sisters of Iota Pi hope that all of you are in good spirits and good health, and hope to see and hear from you very soon!
Zeta Love,
Megan Shuba

Alumni Spotlight: A letter from Holly Armstrong,
`I am currently in Columbus, Ohio attending law school at the Ohio State University Moritz College of Law. I am in my first year at the law school, and I have made many friends, although none are like my sisters back at UD! I enjoy being in a challenging learning environment with others who like to think and learn also. I spend most of my time reading, studying, and preparing for class and exams. Nonetheless, I have had some opportunities to enjoy Columbus nightlife and also some of Columbus's best restaurants. I think my most favorite right now is a sushi place downtown called "Kooma."
I am a member of the Student Bar Association which is the law school student government. I was elected by my classmates to serve as a first-year law student representative. I got as involved as I could immediately and joined the Barrister's Ball Committee. Barrister's Ball is a law school formal. This was held February 25, 2005. I assisted the committee chair in organizing and planning the event. I helped pick out the venue, menu, linens, decorations, flower arrangements, etc. It was held at Confluence Park in Columbus which has a beautiful view of the Scioto River and downtown Columbus. It was an elegant and fun event where we honored the law school's best professors and enjoyed dinner and dancing together. The event went really well and and over 300 people attended.
