Goals and Objectives

A goals and objectives document must be filed with the University for each academic term for which the organization wishes to remain a University-recognized entity.

Goals and Objectives:

University of Dayton

The World's Most Dangerous Juggling Club

1994-1995

The World's Most Dangerous Juggling Club is established to 1) provide an environment in which University of Dayton students interested in the pursuit of juggling and related arts may meet to educate one another and participate in the skill of juggling, 2) to promote juggling and related skills to the University of Dayton community and 3) to volunteer our skills applicable to selected service activities. Long-term organization goals include service to club members, the community, and the University as described below. Service to Club Members

The "passing" of juggling apparatus between two or more people (as in the performances of the Flying Karamazov Brothers) is one of the most enjoyable aspects of the art, yet it is sadly impossible in the absence of other jugglers. Weekly informal meetings of the club would allow jugglers a chance to meet each other and further their expertise.

Second, the acquisition of basic juggling equipment is surprisingly difficult. For example, there are many people who know how to juggle bean bags and would like to learn 3-club (or "pin") juggling. Most people, however, know not where to find the requisite juggling clubs. A group setting allows for sharing of and experimentation with apparatus that is otherwise unavailable.

Service to the University and Community

A juggling club at UD would not only allow current jugglers the opportunity to practice their hobby, but also would allow for group performance to a variety of audiences. Any city or University activity intended for children would be an opportunity for the club to serve both the Dayton community and the service reputation of the University.

The short-term goals include the promotion of juggling in the community and outside the university as described below:
