Health Center
The Student Health Center provides outpatient care of illnesses and injuries including consultation with a physician. Diagnostic lab tests (including testing for sexually transmitted diseases and pregnancy) are done either at the Health Center or by an off campus laboratory. Some diagnostic x-rays are performed on the premises. Prescription medicines can be dispensed and billed to the student's account. Students with an Rx card can have a written prescription that can be filled by any pharmacy. Referrals to other sources of health care can be made as needed, including studies and data reports

Recreational Sports
The Physical Activities Center, located on Frericks Way, is an accessible facility for the exclusive use of students, faculty. staff, alumni, and their guests. The administrative offices are located on the second floor of the center. Stop in to see our special features. The PAC offers an Intramural Program, Sport Clubs, Activities Classes, Informal Recreation, Special Programs, Cardio-Vascular and Aerobics Fitness Center, as well as Personal Training.
Educational & Special Programs
The Office of Educational and Special Programs, located in Gosiger Hall, 2nd floor; is responsible for New Student Orientation, Parents Weekend and Critical Issues Education. Critical Issues consists of issues directly relating to students' life experiences outside of the classroom which impact all aspects of students' growth, development, and success at the University of Dayton. Such issues include alcohol and drugs, sexual assault prevention, sexuality, eating disorders/body image, communication between genders, roommate conflict and AIDS Awareness.
Counseling Center
The Counseling Center assists students with personal and career concerns and is here to enhance students' decision-making skills as they accomplish their educational mission. Students come to discuss personal concerns/growth, to explore majors and careers, to attend a workshop on test anxiety, to join a group or to have confidential conversation. All students are welcome to use the Center. Undergraduates, Law studenst, and Graduate Assistants can use the center at no charge. There is a fee for all other Graduate students.
Alcohol and Other Drugs
The Office of Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention Education provides educational resources to students, faculty, staff and community members with the goal of reducing substance abuse within the University of Dayton community. These resources include educational interventions (ASTP, SEP and TIPS); coordination of a campus/community alcohol coalition; data collection, analysis and reports on current trends; peer education; and a variety of other initiatives (workshops, speakers, awareness campaigns) throughout the academic year.
Wellness House
The Wellness house is a 5 person house at 521 Irving that exists to promote substance free living. Being substance free includes abstaining from alcohol, drugs, and tobacco. For more information on how to apply to live in the Wellness house, contact Steve Mueller at 229-3141.
The Office of Student Involvement and Leadership
The Office of Student Involvement and Leadership compliments the University of Dayton’s academic programs and the mission of Student Development by enhancing the educational experiences of students through the development and support of, exposure to, and participation in co-curricular activities and programs designed to improve the quality of campus and community life, to promote the development of responsible citizens and leaders, and to integrate the academic experience.
