I am from Tennessee by way of Minnesota. I have been playing ultimate with Ghetto Force since 2005. My major is Mechanical Engineering Technology and I am a fifth year senior. My favorite part about Ghetto Force is the chance to play an ultra competitive, fast paced, and very exciting sport. My favorite throw is the plain old flick for a score.

PictureJoe Bayer

I was birthed in northern Kentucky. I have been playing for Ghetto Force for 3 years as well as summer league for a few years. I am a junior Civil Engineering major and I enjoy throwing and running down deep hucks from anyone that will put them up. I love the team atmosphere of Ghetto Force, it's really a great group of guys. My favorite throw is the scoober for the score and I really enjoy big D's. Also, I got a face D one time; check it out.

I am a freshman from Cincinnati, Ohio. I have been playing competitive ultimate since 2003, when I started playing with my school team. After five years of play with Sycamore High School, and two seasons of youth club with Flying Pig Ultimate, I am proud to be a member of the nationally bound Ghetto Force program. My favorite throw is the high release forehand and my favorite part of Ghetto Force is the focus and intensity of the members on the field, and the companionship off of it.

I am a senior at UD double majoring in Accounting and Economics, and will enter the MBA program 1/2009. Haling from Wilmette, IL, I have played three-ish years of ultimate for New Trier High School, two of which were competitive resulting in a second place at the Wisconsin State Championships (at that time there was no Illinois championships). This is my forth year of college ultimate and I intend on going all the way to Columbus (Natties). I enjoy running my fellow players until they puke. My Favorite thing about Ghetto Force is The people My Favorite Throw is the No look turn around scoober Favorite part of my body: My biceps Favorite food: 16 inch Chicken Ranchero Hoagie from Corleanos with a load of ranch on the side. I am a 4th year senior from Pittsburgh, PA and study accounting. I began playing "ultimate" with my older brother in a parking lot at our high school during the summer of 2003. The day after high school graduation in 2005, I played my first ever game of organized/competitive ultimate. It was Pittsburgh Summer League. During the second semester of my freshman year at UD I was asked by recent grads Ed Mack and Brendon Ulen and then captain Michael Rice to take over the team. It is my 3rd year as captain and Ghetto Force Ultimate has been reborn. With a women's team that formed in Fall 2006 and large recruiting classes each year, the men's team looks to make its first ever College Open Nationals appearance in the club's 20 year history. My favorite throws involve badly breaking the mark and/or hucks for goals to my main dawg T Knight. Things I love about Ghetto Force; aside from everything, rolling up to tournaments in the rec van blasting Rush's Working Man, track workouts, and getting after it. I also spent the past 2 years playing Club Ultimate in the fall. I played with Sir Duke in 2007 and FORGE in 2008. Both are Pittsburgh Open teams.

I am senior from Columbus, Ohio and I am majoring in mechanical engineering. I have been playing ultimate for 3 years now, all as a part of Ghetto Force. My favorite things about the team are the high level of competition and the great people that I get to be around. My favorite throw would have to be an outside-in extremely high arcing flick...which hasn't yet served any real purpose in a game situation.

I am from the east side of Cleveland and I started playing real ultimate last year as a freshman. Although, I played pick-up and summer league before that but I didn't play by the rules or know how to throw a flick. I am a sophomore accounting major, which means I'll be here playing ultimate for 5 years. My favorite thing about Ghetto Force are the team functions because I don't have to be sober for that. My favorite throw is definitely the bird wing or anything Eddy Mack would disapprove of. Since I tore my ACL last semester trying to catch a disc out of reach (no names mentioned), I will try to make all the tournaments to cheer my team on.

I am a junior business student from the great state of Kentucky majoring in Entrepreneurship and Accounting. I dabbled around a bit with Ultimate in high school, but in retrospect it was as close to Ultimate as Ultimate is to racquetball. Giving it the ole college try, I decided to play ultimate in college per the request of Sir Joseph Bayer just to stay in shape. However, as time passed I realized how much I love the “sport” and the guys on the team. Now, three years later of playing I am fully addicted to the Ultimate experience. My favorite thing about Ghetto Force is the people and the memories. From my first tournament in Talladega Alabama where I learned to “triangulate” to another tournament where I showed the team my mom’s shortcut to Illinois, and finally to a more recent tournament where I learned to throw my hands in the Ayer on the back roads of Wisconsin … Ghetto Force has become my college experience. As for my favorite throw, few have seen it… I call it the Flying Dutch Push-Pass for score. Like I said, few have seen my drop this bombshell of a throw. On a final note, this kid wears the number 2 on his back. Peace.

I'm a junior from Centerville, OH (home of Kirk Herbstreit). I'm going on my 2nd year of competitive Ultimate. I'm a mechanical engineering major, and do a lot of the photography and graphic design work for the team. My favorite part of Ghetto Force is throwing up during practice and gratuitous lay outs. My favorite throw is the low-flying Hammer.

I am from Cincinnati, Ohio and I have been playing Ultimate for 2 years. I am a sophomore and majoring in Mechanical Aerospace Engineering major. My favorite thing about Ghetto Force is the different guys that are on the team and the people I have met and become friends with through Ghetto Force. My favorite throw is the Forehand I/O.

PictureDan Hensel

I am a fifth year Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering major at UD. I have been a part of Ghetto Force for 3 years, beginning in Junior year just looking for a way to stay fit and have fun. I have played many sports throughout my life, most notably soccer, lacrosse, rowing and track, but Ultimate has by far been my favorite. I love the fun yet competitive atmosphere, and I also love that the game is self-officiated. Off the fields I enjoy video games, brewing beer and traveling, and I am looking forward to going to the UK for grad school next year, where I hope to continue the Ultimate traditions!

Out of Normal, Illinois, I am in my 4th year playing Ultimate, all of which have been spent with Ghetto Force. As a senior double major in Finance and Entrepreneurship, I will be graduating in May of 2009. My favorite thing about Ghetto is the sense of community amongst the team and the opportunity to travel and compete with many of my best friends. When given the opportunity, there are few throws I enjoy more than the intentional blade hammer - watch out.

PictureBrian Jones

I am from the city that never sleeps, Milwaukee, and am a sophomore majoring in economics and marketing. I have been tossing novelty flying discs around since the late 90's, and started playing competitive ultimate in college. My favorite part of Ghetto Force is myself, and my favorite throw is the rarely attempted and and even more rarely successful jump-shot-greatest. I also enjoy taking credit for coming up with the B team's name; Ghetto Farce.

PictureEric Kaiser

I am from Cincinnati, the greatest city in the world. I have been playing Ultimate for two years, haven't looked back. I am a Civil Engineer and it is my 3rd year at the University of Dayton. My favorite thing about Ghetto is by far and away the Jacket, thats the only reason I play. My favorite throw is to pull it out of bounds, get a D, and catch a score.

ZachZach Kaylor

My name is Zach Kaylor. I am from Cincinnati. I have been playing ultimate for 5-6 years. My major is Adolsecent to Young Adult Education with an English concentration. I am a Freshman. My favorite throw is the forehand. My favorite thing about Ghetto Force are the reminders I constantly get about making a "Bio"" for the website.... Oh, and the awesome questions that come with said emails that make everyone's "Bio" sound incredibly generic. Thanks Reynolds. I hate you. For Realsies.

PictureAdam Kline

They call me Kunkel. I hail from Springboro, Ohio where I've lived all my life. I am a freshman and a communications major currently. I am new to the sport of Ultimate, but I played in a few pickup games for fun in high school. When I came to UD I didn't know what to expect when making the team after tryouts. Ever since then it's been the best decision I've ever made. My favorite thing about Ghetto Force is my teammates and the fun we all have when playing the game and not to mention the crazy mad parties they throw. They've taught me everything I know. My favorite throw would have to be the good ol lefty back hand, simple but deadly when hucked. I look forward to gaining more experience the rest of this year's season and for years to come.

PictureTravis Knight

I am a senior accounting and finance student from Dayton, Ohio. I wear number 11 and I like to rock yellow shorts. This season will be my 4th as a member of Ghetto Force. I also played club ultimate this past fall for Enigma, which is based in Dayton and was created by fellow Ghetto Force teammate Addison Hoover. My absolute favorite thing about Ghetto Force is my teammates and riding in the 12 passenger van to tournaments. They have made this team my defining college experience. As for my favorite throw, typically it would have to be the “Dump to Evan.” However, I am particularly proud of once completing an I/O flick off a defender’s face (unintentionally) for a score. My favorite ultimate quote comes from the one and only, Joe Bayer: “Hammers are only low percentage if you suck.”

PictureJames Kozlowski

Hey my name is James "the Koz" Kozlowski. I hail from good old Akron, OH, and am a junior Civil Engineering major with minors in Religous Studies and Catechesis. I love sports and am super competetive. I've been playing ultimate for a year and half now, and love playing with all of these great guys. My favorite part about playing ultimate is not only our sweet team name, but all the guys I have fun making lay out D's and sweet scores with. I love the intensity and energy of being out in the field and making plays. I'm going to miss playing with these guys this semester when I'm studying abroad in Austria, but I wish them the best of luck on our goal of making it to Nationals this Spring. See you in the Fall!

PictureEric Krissek

From the magnificent, majestic thriving metropolis known as Wichita, Kansas, I am a junior math education major on Ghetto Force. This is my third year of competitive Ultimate, all of which has been time spent with the gents of Ghetto Force. I enjoy the ultra-intense nature of the team, and traveling to tournaments is one of the best parts of college. (I mean, when else would you learn that Dayton is in BETWEEN Illinois and Columbus?) My favorite throw is by far the whirling lefty flick; however, any throw that ends up completed is a more accurate description of my favorite throw. Instead, I much rather prefer the sweet-nasty grabs and D's of Ultimate.

PictureMark Latta

I am a senior chemical engineering student from Beavercreek, Ohio. I began playing recreational pickup ultimate in high school and have been playing competitive ultimate at UD for 4 years now. My favorite throws involve breaking the mark. My favorite part of being on Ghetto Force has been being able to compete with so many great teammates, many of whom will be lifelong friends. Ghetto Force has also given me the chance to learn an awesome sport and compete at the highest level. It is exciting to be apart of a team with high goals and expectations for the 2009 college season!

I'm a freshman from Saint Louis, Missouri where I attended CBC high school. I played two years of recreational ultimate before Dayton, and Ghetto Force is my first time playing competitively. I am a Political Science major. Ghetto Force rocks because I love playing ultimate and its a great way to stay in shape. As a freshman it was also a really fun way to get to know a lot of coolest people at UD. My favorite throw is a hammer.

PictureEric Reynolds

I am a Sophomore Computer Science major and current webmaster. I am from Naperville, Illinois, a southwest suburb of Chicago. I have been playing ultimate since the summer before my freshman year at Dayton. My favorite thing about Ghetto Force would have to be the car rides to the different tournaments. My favorite throw is the Birdwing.

PictureMatt Richardville

Matthew is a Graduate student in Theology and holds an undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of Dayton. He is working on his thesis on the significance of Phenomenology in select epistles of Pope John Paul II. Simultaneously he is reviewing his biology, chemistry, and physics for the MCATS while he prepares himself for the next stage in his life which he hopes will be medical school. He joined Ghetto Force with the hopes of balancing his mental calisthenics with a little bit of physical exertion. Sharing the teams aspirations for national recognition and rank he has dedicated himself to developing the killer instincts necessary for a player on the soon to be national championship team, "Ghetto Force". He credits himself with the soon to catch on phrase "Ghet to it!"

PictureAlan Smith

I am currently a sophomore electrical engineer from Cleveland, Ohio. I began playing pick-up ultimate after school my junior year of high school. When I came to the University of Dayton, I quickly became involved in Ghetto Force. This is currently my second year of competitive ultimate. My favorite throw would have to be the thumber. My favorite part about Ghetto Force is that, while being a competitive and successful sports team, it's more than just that. It's a brotherhood.

PictureScott Ulrich

My name is Scott Ulrich, I am from Sidney, Ohio. I am a junior mechanical engineer at the University of Dayton. I am new to the sport of Ultimate Frisbee, but I hope to continue playing for the rest of my time at UD. My favorite throw is the simple backhand, and my favorite part about the Ghetto Force is the determination everyone on the team has along with the diverse set of personalities that come together every practice.

PictureBrad Walchak

Brad natively hails from the lovely state of New Jersey. He has been playing ultimate for 3 years. When he's not on the pitch, Brad can be found throwing down rudy ballouts on a trampoline and studying Mechanical Engineering. His favorite thing about Ghetto Force is the excuse it gives him to have fun. Brad has been spotted on campus throwing inverted forehands to anyone who's got the time.
