Frequently Asked Questions

Where are you located?
  We are located on the ground floor of Miriam Hall Room 53.
   
What are your office Hours?
  We are open 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday - Thursday and 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM on Fridays.
Our summer hours are 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM Monday - Friday
   
Are you open holidays and weekends?
  Technology Support Services observes the holidays set by the university. For more information, see our Orders Deadline page. Our office is closed on weekends.
   
How do I reserve the Forum and the Studio in the LTC?
  Reservations for use of the Forum and the Studio can be made by contacting the main desk in the LTC at 229-4898. Please ask for Rise' Kreitzer.
 
How do I place an order for technology and how will I know if my order went through?
  Please click on the Technology Support Services Ordering Page. After you enter your information and submit your request, you will receive a notice thanking you for your order. This is NOT your confirmation. A confirmation will be sent you to via e-mail within 24 business hours. 
   
Is there a deadline for submitting requests?
  Yes. We ask that you submit your request 24 business hours in advance.
   
Can you copy audio and video tapes?
  Yes. Bring your tapes to our office in the LTC Room 30. For more information on charges for this service, please click on the Services Fees page. Sorry we cannot dub tapes that are Copy Written.
   
Do you charge a rental fee for any of your services?
  Yes. A rental fee will be applied to outside clients and units of the university that are not directly related to a learning environment. For more information, please visit our Equipment Rental Fees page or call (937) 229-3888.
   
Why isn't the movie channel working?
  Any questions, comments or requests about the Flyer Movie Channel, can be sent to movies@udayton.edu.
   
Can I take technology off campus?
  Equipment which is taken off campus for non-academic use is not covered by UD's insurance policy and therefore the borrower will be responsible for replacing the equipment if it is lost, stolen or damaged. For further information on this policy, contact Technology Support Services at (937) 229-3888.
   
What types of technology do you deliver or rent?
  We have a wide variety of technology for use on campus. Please visit our Inventory Page to see what technology is available
