Changing Passwords
Novell/LDAP and Lotus Notes Internet
- Note that these steps will not change your Lotus Notes Client password.
1. Open Internet Explorer (or other web browser). Browse to udportal.udayton.edu
or address.udayton.edu
2. Login using Novell/LDAP username and password. If you have forgotten your
password, please see Forgotten Passwords
for steps to create a new password.
3. Click Change Password.
4 . Fill in the fields accordingly. Click Change Password button. NOTE:
If you do not wish to change your Notes Internet password,
uncheck the box before clicking the button.
Lotus Notes Internet - Follow these steps to
change your Notes Internet password without changing your Novell/LDAP password.
1. Open Internet Explorer (or other web browser) and browse to notes.udayton.edu
2. Login with Notes Internet username and password.
3. Click on Mail, Calendar, To Do (Access using iNotes)
4. Click Preferences.
5. Click Security, then click
Change.
6. Fill in
fields accordingly. Click OK.
7. Click OK. You have now successfully reset your Notes Internet password.
Lotus Notes Client - Follow these steps to change your Lotus
Notes Client password.
1. Open Lotus Notes Client.
2. File >> Security >> User Security
3. Enter current password. Click OK.
4. Click Change Password button.
5. Enter current password. Click OK.
6. Enter and re-enter new password. Click OK. NOTE: If you
would like Notes to generate a random password for you, click Generate Password.
7. If your password meets the complexity requirements of Lotus Notes, you
will receive confirmation that your password has been successfully changed.
If not, you will be prompted to enter another password.
