Colin Riley

Having competed in eight triathlons thus far (one indoor, six sprints, and one Olympic distance) Colin is very excited for the 2009 season! This will be his fourth season racing. He is very excited to have a tri club at Dayton and to compete in the USAT Collegiate National Championships in Alabama for the first time this April.

Elayne Martz

Elayne ran varsity track and XC in high school, and loves running so much she coaches two elementary school teams. Elayne has completed two sprint and four canoe, swim, run triathlons, and looks forward to improving her swim technique over the next year.

Matthew Swartz

As a spinning instructor, avid runner, and brick in the water, Matt decided to try a triathlon in 2005. He was bitten by the triathlon bug and since then has completed four triathlons, three Sprint and one Olympic. He wanted to share his joy of triathlons with others and started the UD Triathlon Club in 2007. He also has aspirations to one day complete an Iron Man.

Candida Crasto

Candida has been involved in triathlons for the past four years. She has completed 10 sprints and 1 Olympic, placing 1st or 2nd in her age group every time. Candida is training to complete her first half-Ironman in the summer of 2008, and full Ironman before she graduates. Multisport is a way of life.

Chad Bowman

Chad ran 4 years of high school XC and one year at VMI. He has raced in the Indianapolis Mini-Marathon 3 times, ran one marathon, and has competed in 3 triathlons while at Dayton. Now part of the triathlon club, Chad hopes to continue to improve his fitness and one day complete an Ironman.

Jon Drapalik

Jon is an avid cyclist and participated in XC in high school. He has participated in numerous MS 150 bike rides, and helps out annually with the Davis Phinney Sunflower Revolution. He hopes to not only better himself physically by being a part of the tri club but also mentally as well. He is excited to be a part of the Dayton Triathlon Club.

Joe Haglage

This is JoeÕs 2nd year in the club. He has completed 6 triathlons (4 sprints and 2 Olympic) and is looking forward to continuing this year. Having run cross country in high school and completed 3 marathons, Joe has a strong running background, and hopes to improve on the bike and in the water.

Kurt Jackson

Kurt has competed in over 50 triathlons over the last 10 years ranging from Sprint to Half-Ironman distances. He is happy to share training tips and advice on injury prevention as well as bike fit and maintenance. He has also conducted research on the influence of various bike positions on triathlon performance.

Since becoming a runner in high school, Kimber has completed 3 marathons, 6 half-marathons, and 2 duathlons. Kimber wants to be a part of the Triathlon Club to take on new challenges and, after training solo thus far, she is excited to be a part of a team!

Nolan Nicaise

Nolan enjoys art, dancing, sledding, and camping. He is excited about completing his first triathlon this year. After finishing his first triathlon, Nolan thinks that he would like to go for a relaxing swim and, later, enjoy a large peanut butter milk shake. Isaac Niekamp

Isaac is looking forward to a great triathlon season after completing four years of varsity cross country and track in high school. His main goal is not to drown during the swim with smaller goals to have a stellar run and bike. He is also stoked to compete at nationals in April.

David Perkins

Dave has been a runner all of his life as well as playing football and rugby and is an avid climber. He started racing triathlons after his first marathon in 2004 and also helps coach a local high school tri club. He joined the tri club to stay motivated and to keep training.
