The University of Dayton Triathlon Club is hosting the 4th annual UD Outdoor Triathlon and Duathlon this fall! For the first year, we are partnering with Speedy Feet to provide a more quality race at a larger venue. The race welcomes everyone from seasoned athletes looking for the next challenge, to anyone who wants to have a go at their first multisport event. Here is a perfect opportunity to challenge yourself and accomplish a great goal! This race will be chip timed!

Race day morning - September 16, 2012
7:00am - 8:30am at the race site
- Pick up your Race Packet
- Obtain important race information
- Racers will not be wearing bib numbers for the race, so they will not need to worry about sticking numbers on bikes,
helmets, and belts.
- Each racer will get a racing chip to Velcro around his/her left ankle.
- Racers will still receive a racing bag containing t-shirts and coupons on race day morning.
- Please allow enough time to get a racing bag and racing chip before the race.

Important Information
USAT RULES: This is a USAT sanctioned event and follows all
USAT rules.
WETSUITS: This is a USAT sanction event. As such, wetsuits
will be permitted for water temperatures below 78 degrees Fahrenheit per USAT rules.
TIMING CHIP: This year's race is chip timed. You must
use the timing chip distributed to you upon entrance to transition on race
morning. The chip should be worn on your left ankle. You may not use
your own timing chip and any personal chips should be removed before the race.
Race Day Packet Pick-up and registration:
7:00am - 8:30am Sharp. You will not be permitted to pick up your packet
after 8:30am.
USAT Age Up Policy: Your age
for this race and other USAT sanctioned events is your age of December 31, 2012
rather than your age on race day.
Transition Area: The
transition area will be open from 8:00am to 8:50am (subject to change).
Remember that transition is for race participants only. No spectators are
allowed in transition. Additionally, no glass containers are allowed in
the transition area.
Bike: Helmets are mandatory
for the bike. Absolutely no riding your bike in the transition area.
The majority of the bike course is open to traffic so please be alert at all
times. Bikers will be on both sides of some roadways so please ensure that
you are staying on the right side of the road at all times for safety of all
riders. Please note that volunteers, marshals, and law enforcement will be
along the bike path to control traffic and enforce safety. This is not a
closed course. This means that you may be delayed by law enforcement.
Officers will not delay you unless it is absolutely necessary for your safety.
However, if they do, please extend them the courtesy they deserve. They
are out there for your safety.
Run: Aid stations will be
located throughout the run course. Volunteers will be placed throughout
the course for your direction and safety. Miles will be marked along the
course as well.
MECTC Division
The MECTC Division is set aside for the racers of the University of Dayton
Triathlon Club and associated members of any club within the Mideast Collegiate
Triathlon Conference.
