Welcome to the Ohio Theta Chapter of Tau Beta Pi at the University of Dayton! Tau Beta Pi is the National Honor Society for engineers in all disciplines. The purpose of this organization, as written at the 1926 convention, is to mark in a fitting manner those who have conferred honor upon their alma mater by distinguished scholarship and exemplary character as students or by their attainments as alumni. Tau Beta Pi is an organization known for encouraging integrity and excellence in engineering. Activities include tutoring, community projects, and social gatherings. A national convention is held each year for Tau Beta Pi, as well as a District Conference, both of which are a lot of fun!

Because Tau Beta Pi is an honor society, it is not possible to for students to request membership within the organization. Eligibility for membership is based on academic standing within the junior and senior classes, as well as their moral character. Students who are eligible to join Tau Beta Pi will be notified within a week or two of the start of the semester. Induction ceremonies are held each semester.
