New Student Orientation at UD is organized and led as a partnership between students, faculty, and staff. The hard work, passion, and dedication of our Student Executive Leadership Team and the students, faculty, and staff serving on our UD Welcome Teams are vital to the success of NSO 2008.

NSO Welcome Team

Each residence hall floor will be welcomed to campus by a family of five members of the UD community:

• Serving in a long tradition of those who have welcomed new students to UD, Blue Crew members will help to make move-in and orientation as smooth (and fun!) as possible.
• Peer Academic Leaders (PALs) will lead dialogue throughout orientation on topics about adjusting to college and pursuing academic engagement, quality relationships, and passionate purpose at UD.
• Resident Advisors will help each floor become a true community. Their role begins during orientation and continues throughout the year.
• A faculty member and a staff person will also serve on this welcome team, giving new students the chance to get to know them before classes even begin.
