Thank you for your interest in Blue Crew! Applications (including a faculty or staff reference) are due March 14th. Please read below for more information about the position and application process.

Position Description:The New Student Orientation (NSO) Blue Crew members will help with late night programs, social events, move-in, and community development. The goals of Blue Crew are to help families feel welcome, integrate students into the UD community, and act as a resource for new students. Blue Crew members will work with other individuals (faculty, staff, Peer Academic Leader, and Resident Assistant) to form an NSO Welcome Team that serves each cohort of new students during orientation.

Note: Blue Crew has a new role during orientation this year! The changes provide new opportunities, new experiences, and the start of a new tradition.

Expectations and Time Requirements:

  • Full-time undergraduate students
  • Cumulative GPA of 2.5 or better and be in good standing with the university
  • Must be able to attend Blue Crew training (August 13-15)
  • Serve as member of the NSO Welcome Team
  • Participation in late night programs
  • Engage in community development
  • Act as a resource for new students and families
  • Commitment to Catholic and Marianist Philosophy of Community Living at UD

Application Process:

  • Download and complete the Blue Crew application form and request that one faculty or staff person complete the reference form. Please be courteous to those from whom you are requesting a reference, and give them enough time to thoughtfully complete it.
  • Return application to 206 Kennedy Union by 4:30pm on Friday, March 14, 2008. References must also be turned into the same place by this deadline.
  • We will review applications and references and will contact you by email to schedule your interview.
  • Interviews will take place the week of March 25, 2008.
