The Phi Omega chapter was chartered on the University of
Dayton campus in 1968. Through diligent efforts to recruit
and educate the best members each successive year, our
chapter flourished and grew. We performed at many musical
functions, and helped foster the growth of music at the
University of Dayton. However, as the years passed,
membership gradually began to decline. In 1982, our chapter
went inactive. Truly a sad day for Sinfonians everywhere!
However, through the efforts several dedicated music
students, our chapter was reactivated in 1985. Initially we
were a small community, with only a few brothers, not enough
to evenly fill out all the officer positions. Since then, we
have steadily grown each year, and now boast a membership of
36 active brothers with 10 members from our most recent
pledge class! Thank you too all of the brothers who have
made this growth possible. |
