Reservations

The RecPlex is available to rent for special events or other functions. A facility reservation request form must be completed and submitted to the Associate Director of Campus Recreation. The form may be obtained from the main office of the RecPlex or downloaded below:

Conferences

Campus Recreation is proud to offer many of our facilities to groups and organizations or workshops at the university of Dayton.  General usage conference/workshop guests may be able to utilize recreational facilities that are usually available only to students, faculty, alumni, and staff.  Most recreation areas are also available to outside groups on a rental basis for special group events.  Prices vary for size of group and use of space so please contact Donn Shade at 229-2397 for fee schedules.  All reservation requests MUST be receive at least 30 days in advance of the event.

Space Request Policies

Birthday Bash

Birthday Bashes are limited to three spaces in the facility; swimming pool, one court, and the climbing wall. Space may not be available on  requested date due to a prior reservation. Payments for Birthday Bashes must me made at least two weeks before the event.

No refunds are available on deposits.

Adults must be in each area while children are participating. Children cannot be left unattended while in the building.

Groups are limited to 30 participants. Any  extra participants must be approved and will be charged $8.00 per person.

Birthday Bashes can only be held during the following times. Please check with Main Office for  availability:

Friday 5:30pm-7:00pm
Saturday and Sunday 2:00pm-3:30pm
Saturday and Sunday 4:00pm-5:30pm

Price:

Bronze package- Meeting Room A and one recreational space                                                       Affiliated:$150   Non Affiliated: $200

Silver Package- Meeting Room A and two recreational spaces                                                                Affiliated: $200  Non Affiliated $250

Gold Package- Meeting Room A and Three recreational spaces                                                                Affiliated $250   Non Affiliated $300

Liability Waivers: 

Each Participants must have guardians written  permission, Campus Recreation Birthday Bash Waiver. If birthday bash will be participating in climbing wall activities a second waiver must be filled out, University Climbing Wall permission slips, please have all the slips signed and ready upon arrival for the party.

Facilities

Main Gym
Main Gym is a 4 court gym (28,800 sq.ft). The end court has baskets that can be lowered to approximately 8 ft. The Gym has electronic score boards for all 4 courts and divider curtains between all courts.

MAC Gym
MAC Gym is a 2 court gym with a synthetic surface and a dasher board system between the 2 courts.

Aquatic Center
Aquatic Center consists of three areas. The competition pool is 25 yard, 8 lane pool. Two of lanes are 4 ft deep, with the other 6 lanes at 7 ft deep. A 35 ft diameter, 4 ft deep leisure area Vortex Leisure Pool, and a 12 ft diving well with a 1 meter diving board are attached to the competition pool. There is also an 8 person Spa.

Climbing Wall
Climbing Wall is available to be reserved for private functions.

Meeting Rooms
Meeting Rooms are on the main floor. There are two rooms, the larger room can seat 45 people, and the smaller room can seat 25 people.

RecPlex Lobby
The Lobby of the RecPlex can accommodate small receptions.

Studios
There are three multi-purpose rooms: 1 large room (2,245 sq.ft), 1 medium room (1,524 sq.ft) and one small room (650 sq.ft). These can be used for aerobics, martial arts, yoga and spinning. These rooms can be used for other events

Racquetball Courts
There are 3 courts for racquetball, one court is adaptable to squash. For usage pther than racquetball or squash, a rental fee will be assessed.
