Requirements for a minor in psychology?

A minor in psychology may be a valuable addition to any major. The requirements for a minor in psychology are different for students entering the University before or after Fall of 1997. 

Prior to Fall 1997: a minor in psychology requires 15 total psychology hours, including PSY 101 and 12 hours of upper level psychology courses including their prerequisites.

After Fall 1997: a minor in psychology requires 18 psychology hours, including PSY 101, one course from each of the two core areas (PSY 321, 322, 323, and 422) and (PSY 341, 351, 361, and 363) and an additional 9 hours of upper level (300/400) psychology courses. Only 3 hours of PSY 477, 478, 490, 493, 494, or 497 may count toward the minor.
