We are a professional society whose mission is to promote the study of history through the encouragement of research, good teaching, publication and the exchange of learning and ideas among historians. We seek to bring students, teachers and writers of history together for intellectual and social exchanges, which promote and assist historical research and publication by our members in a variety of ways. PAT is a member of the National Association of College Honors Societies.
The Delta-Eta Chapter of Phi Alpha Theta will host the 2009 Ohio Regional Meeting on March 21, 2009. Student members of PAT (undergraduate and graduate) presenting papers at the Regional Conference who wish to have them judged for one of the paper prizes must e-mail their papers to: Dr. Janet Bednarek (Janet.Bednarek@notes.udayton.edu) by March 1, 2009. No late papers will be accepted.
Initiation is held once a semester. Please contact PAT Advisor, Dr. Janet Bednarek, for more information. University of Dayton
