Panhellenic Executive Board

President:  Liz Mack
Affiliation: Zeta Tau Alpha

The President of the Panhellenic Council is responsible for:

-Conducting the weekly Panhellenic meetings

-Conducting weekly executive board meetings

-Working closely with the Assistant Director of Student Involvement and Leadership

-Oversee and monitor progress of each Vice President

-Fostering a working relationship with National Panhellenic Advisor and other University’s in our area

-Coordinating and co-leading Officer Transition shortly after fall elections

 

Vice President of Programming:  Audrey Leeker
Affiliation:  Alpha Phi

 

The Vice President of Programming is responsible for:

-Maintaining an up-to-date manual for the position

-Meeting with the Assistant Director of Student Involvement and Leadership at least twice a month

-Coordinating the Panhellenic Intramural program.

-Overseeing and monitoring the  progress of Social Chair, Community Relations Chair, and Greek Week Chair.

-Holding weekly meetings with subordinate officer positions (Social, Community Relations, and Greek Week Chair)

-Ensure that each program sponsored by the Council correlates with the Panhellenic mission and University’s values

 

Vice President of Standards:   Jess DeSantes
Affiliation:  Alpha Phi

 

The Vice President of Standards:

-Conducts an educational seminar for Panhellenic at least once a semester on parliamentary procedure and weekly review parliamentary procedure with Panhellenic delegates.

-Reviews and oversees adherence to the Panhellenic Council Risk Management policy every semester

-Educates the Panhellenic delegates on the Panhellenic Constitution by having weekly reviews.

-Maintains an up-to-date manual for the position

-Meets with the Assistant Director of Student Involvement and Leadership at least twice a month

-Oversees and monitors the progress of Scholarship Chair and Service Chair

-Holds weekly meetings with subordinate officer positions (Scholarship and Service Chair).

-Maintains a system of all new by-laws, recording new ones as they are passed at meetings and striking overruled and outmoded ones from the current record

 

Vice President of Communication:  Teresa Shakkour
Affiliation:  Pi Beta Phi

The duties of the Vice President of Communication include:

-Taking minutes at all regular, special and executive board meetings of the Panhellenic Council and distribute these to all members at the next regularly scheduled meeting.

-Reviewing Panhellenic application process and coordinate dates for fall semester

-Scheduling all office hours for Panhellenic Executive Board and Committee chairs and monitor their adherence.

-Preparing and send all official correspondence of the president, executive committee and Council.

-Notifying the Panhellenic VP of Finance of all unexcused absences of Panhellenic meetings.

-Notifying all sororities of delinquent representatives.

-Keeping an email address and phone list of Panhellenic Council officers, standing committee chairpersons, and delegates and distribute to all members by the third meeting of each semester; include chapter locations and times

-Maintaining the Panhellenic Home Page on the World Wide Web

-Overseeing and monitor progress of Public Relations Chair, and Greek Relations Chair

-Holding weekly meetings with subordinate officer positions (Public Relations and Greek Relations Chair)

-Maintaining an up-to-date manual for the position

-Meeting with the Assistant Director of Student Involvement and Leadership at least once a month

Treasurer:  Anne McCauley
Affiliation: Zeta Tau Alpha

The treasurer is in charge of:

-Preparing and mailing dues payments by the end of January and September to all member fraternities.

-Meeting with the Assistant Director of Student Involvement and Leadership at least once a month.

-Maintaining an up-to-date manual for the position.

-Overseeing and monitoring the progress of Fundraising Chair

-Holding weekly meetings with subordinate officer position (Fundraising Chair)

-Applying for funding from the Office of Student Involvement and Leadership, when an event meets the requirements.

Recruitment Chair:  Carly
Affiliation:

The duties of the recruitment chair are to prepare formal and fall recruitment. She is in charge of reviewing and implementing all recruitment rules. For formal recruitment, she and the promotions chair work together to prepare recruitment publications and publicize the event. She is also  responsible for recruitment information sessions and working with the recruitment chairs of every sorority.

 

Panhellenic Committee Chairs

Community Relations:  Julie Demmitt
Affiliation: Chi Omega

The responsibilities of the community relations chair include attending Student Government Association meetings and reporting on their activities at the weekly Panhellenic meetings. She also keeps the Council informed on events taking place both on and off campus.  In addition, she plans at least one event a semester for sorority women to attend.

Fundraising:  Cassidy Lekan
Affiliation: Zeta Tau Alpha

The fundraising chair is responsible for generating outside revenue for the Panhellenic Council.

Greek Relations:  Chelsea Miko
Affiliation: Phi Sigma Rho

This chair represents the Panhellenic Council at all IFC meetings and reports on their activities at the Panhel meetings. She also coordinates a sisterhood event for the sorority community.   Lastly, she educates the Panhellenic Council on the fraternities and sororities that are represented at UD.

Greek Week:  Nikki Luisi

Affiliation: Zeta Tau Alpha

This chairs coordinates all aspect of Greek Week with the IFC Greek Week Chair.  They select, train and lead weekly meetings for the sub-committee.

New Member Educator:  Jessica Brill
Affiliation: Alpha Phi

The new member educator plans, implements and attends all Greek 101s for the new member period. She enforces and reports any violations of new member regulations. The new member educator also serves as an information source for the Panhellenic chapters in the area of new member education.

Public Relations/Promotions: Annie Kessler
Affiliation: Chi Omega

The responsibilities of the promotions chair include making all fliers and sheets for Panhellenic. She places advertisements in the Flyer News concerning activities and occasionally designs a display case to promote Panhellenic spirit or events. She works with the recruitment chair to develop the theme and publicity items for sorority recruitment. Also, she is in charge of the Up the Organizations Day display for the Council.

Rho Gamma Coordinator:  Carrie
Affiliation:

The Rho Gamma Coordinator is responsible for recruiting, selecting and training the Panhellenic Rho Gammas for formal recruitment. She also assists the recruitment chair with all activities related to recruitment.

Scholarship:  Ashley Boyer
Affiliation: Alpha Phi

The duties of the scholarship chair are to organize the scholarship programming for the Council. She is responsible for the Scholarship Awards night banquet, recognition for all sorority members that achieve a 3.5 gpa or better and a list of all available scholarships. She is also in charge of the Faculty Appreciation event every semester.

Service:  Nicole Winter
Affiliation: Alpha Phi

The service chair is in charge of organizing a Panhellenic philanthropic/service event every semester. In addition, she informs the Panhellenic Council of all community service events occurring on campus and in the Dayton community.

Social:  Kaycn
Affiliation: Rho Gamma

The social chair is in charge of all Panhellenic social events. She plans at least 3 non-alcoholic social events every semester for all sorority women.
