Welcome to the University of Dayton Master of Public Administration (MPA) Program!  This program serves students currently employed or seeking employment in the public and nonprofit sectors.  The University of Dayton has offered an MPA degree since 1967.

Accredited by the National Association of Schools of Public Affairs and Administration, the MPA program consists of 39 semester hours with 18 hours of core courses.  Students without current employment in the public or non-profit sectors participate in an internship program, while those students currently working in relevant jobs engage in a public service project to expand their career options.  Classes are typically offered during the evening, one night per week, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.

The program emphasizes a core of recognized public management skills, including the development of team-oriented and interpersonal skills, organizational and communication skills, and organizational leadership capabilities.  The program is proud to be an academic affiliate of the University's Raymond L. Fitz, S.M., Center for Leadership in Community.
