ACTIVITIES:
HEAVY WEAPONS TOURNEYS:
Novice Tournament
Weapon-of-choice double-elimination Novice Tourney. Must have been authorized
less than two years and never won an SCA
Event Tournament.
Ribbon Tournament
60-minute
weapon-of-choice ribbon tourney. Each fighter starts
with five ribbons.
Top two ribbon holders
will fight a best two out of three to determine winner.
Steal the Bacon
Five-man team double-elimination melee tourney. Teams compete on capturing the
"bacon" and dunking the object into the opposing team’s
basket. Must have a
fully-gauntleted hand to pick up and/or
carry the "bacon".
FENCING TOURNEYS (details):
We will have plenty of
room in the morning, so come out early and fight as
many people as you can!
Fight Analysis Class
Warder Marco Borromeo will watch the combat for an hour followed by an
hour
or so of all fighters practicing
analysis/fighting.
Authentic Accoutrements Tournament
All may
participate but pre-1600 garb and fighting style is encouraged and will
earn you points.
Baronial Rapier
Championships
All authorized fencers
are invited to come test their steel versus the Flaming
Gryphon’s Capitaine and that of His Excellency and the Past Capitaines
of the Academie.
Come for the swords, stay for the fun, and your chance to
step up and join the
rank of the Capitaine!
A&S ACTIVITIES:
Open Competition on Celtic or Viking Theme:
Any medium, any type of period item with a Celtic or
Viking theme.
Judged by populace bean count.
Bardic Competition:
Open to song or story
or poems. Judged by
the audience present.
Blank Scroll Competition:
Hosted by Baroness Soffya von Kulp, Baroness of
Flaming Gryphon, to
benefit the Crown.
Textile Arts guild /
Gryphon's Shawl group/A&S 50 Challenge ( details):
Display of fiber arts
and information about the A&S 50 Challenge.

Parents please arrive by or before 4:00 to pick up your children or
they will be sold at a fair market price and the profits will be given to the

participate in activities meant for them.
