major in Mathematics (MTA) --
Description
in the Undergraduate Catalog The B.A. program in mathematics provides for a breadth of mathematical study within the context of a liberal arts degree. It affords the student a significant distribution of courses in the humanities and social sciences so that he or she can develop a concentration in a field other than mathematics. The student's career goals will generally suggest desirable upper level mathematics electives. Students must take a total of 33 credit hours in mathematics. Required courses:
In addition, take 9 credit hours of MTH electives (300-400 level; consult your advisor - not every class is appropriate for the MTA degree).
