The recipient of the 2012 Faculty Award for Excellence is Brian Bradley. Brian is a graduating mathematics major with a minor in computer science.

Lydia Kindelin is the 2012 recipient of the department's Award of Excellence in Support of Mathematics. Lydia is a junior mathematics major.

Dr. Art Busch has been granted tenure and promotion to Associate Professor, effective Fall 2012.

Dr. Wiebke Diestelkamp is President of the Ohio Section of the MAA (April 2012 - April 2013).

Dr. Aparna Higgins gave an invited address at the 2012 Spring Meeting of the Ohio Section of the MAA. She also presented an invited workshop at the Ohio NExT Workshop immediately preceding the meeting.

The team of Chester Lian and Brandon Williams took second place in the Leo Schneider Student Team Competition at the Spring Meeting of the Ohio Section of the MAA on April 13, 2012.

Dr. Ruihua Liu wins 2011 College of Arts & Sciences Award for Outstanding Scholarship.
Prof. Lester Steinlage wins 2011 College of Arts & Sciences Award for Outstanding Contributions by a Full-Time Non-Tenure Track Faculty.
