Guide to Meeting on Campus

AUDIO – VISUAL EQUIPMENT

The Kennedy Union & Conference Services Office provides a wide variety of state-of-the-art audio-visual equipment for meetings and events held in Kennedy Union, Lawnview Apartments, the McGinnis Center, and Virginia W. Kettering Hall meeting rooms only. This equipment is available at no charge for departments and student organizations. External customers are subject to pay equipment charges. These are listed below.

Equipment must be ordered though the Kennedy Union staff, and upon a request, a complete inventory listing for those facilities may be obtained from the Kennedy Union & Conference Services Office. If equipment is desired by the customer that we do not have in inventory, either in Kennedy Union, Lawnview Apartments, the McGinnis Center or Virginia W. Kettering Hall, the staff will order the equipment through Learning Environmental Technology Services (LETS). Equipment used from the LETS Center is subject to the policies/procedures and charges from the LETS Center.

For maximum consideration, please reserve audio-visual and other equipment at least 10 working days in advance. Kennedy Union is not responsible for an inadequate set-up resulting from last minute additions of equipment. Last minute additions may result in a delay of meeting punctuality. To properly assure that your event occurs on time, please let us know about the equipment you will need when you reserve the room.

TV/VCR - $25.00 Portable Screen - $10.00
Overhead Projector - $25.00 Slide Projector - $25.00
Data Display Projector - $50.00 Portable Sound System - $50.00
Microphones - $10.00 Wireless Mouse - $ 0
If you will be using a laptop computer in conjunction with a LCD display, please contact the Kennedy Union Staff one week in advance to schedule a test of your equipment.  If you will be using a data display projector, we ask that you test the equipment and hour before your event begins.  Contact the staff as soon as possible so we can change your reservation time to an hour earlier.  Information we need when you request a data display projector includes:

a. The type of computer you will be using (PC or MAC and is it a UD computer or a personal computer).

b. The type of presentation you will be using (Power Point, Web Access or any others).

Telephone Lines

Telephone lines can be activated in Kennedy Union and Virginia W. Kettering Hall meeting rooms.  Contact the Kennedy Union staff with your requests at least two weeks prior to the reservation date.  There will be a $35.00 charge for all telephone line activations.
