BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Assistant Director of Annual Giving for Young Alumni is responsible for all aspects of the Cultural Philanthropy (student program) as well as the Young Alumni program (alumni of the last 10 years). The position aims to enhance the education of students and recent graduates in order to increase giving and participation from alumni, parents, friends, faculty/staff and students. Reporting to the Director of Annual Giving, the Assistant Director is responsible for accurate and effective planning, segmentation, solicitation and analysis primarily in the area of student and recent graduates.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:
Basic skills: Bachelor’s Degree, strong interpersonal skills. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be goal oriented and have high-energy. Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities and have attention to detail, and ability to work nights and weekends on occasion. Previous development experience.
Preferred skills: Previous experience in higher education fundraising, knowledge of The Raiser’s Edge fundraising software, and experience in a complex university setting.
