DEPARTMENT: Student Involvement & Leadership POSTING DATE: February 15, 2007 POSITION TITLE: Assistant Director for Programming (A) POSITION IS: Full time/12 months/35 hours per week HIRING RANGE: Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience DATE AVAILABLE: July 2007
BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTION:
Under the administrative supervision of the Director, Student Involvement and Leadership, the Assistant Director for Programming is responsible for supervising, administering, marketing, and developing programs for Campus Activities Board, Christmas on Campus, and supplemental programs for Parents Weekend, Orientation, First Stop Fair, and Lil’ Sibs Weekend. The Assistant Director also co-supervises a graduate assistant.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:
Master’s degree in College Student Personnel, Counseling, or related field required. Minimum two years of experience in successful planning, coordinating and completing detail-oriented projects and events. Minimum of two years experience advising students. Must have the ability to work in fast paced environment, team oriented environment. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, & related programs and processes.
