POSITION TITLE:                     Assistant Coach Men’s Soccer (A)

POSITION IS:                             Full-time/12 months/40 hrs per week

HIRING RANGE:                        Salary to be commensurate with qualifications and experience

BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTION:

 

The Assistant Coach is charged with recruiting and training quality collegiate student-athletes, adherence to NCAA, Atlantic 10 Conference, and University rules, scheduling, player development, planning and implementation of practices, team travel and equipment, game preparation, assisting with camps and creating winning chemistry on the team.  Responsibilities include assisting the head coach in all aspects of a Division I men’s program.  Primary responsibilities will be on field coaching and recruiting quality student athletes to compete at a nationally competitive program.

 

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

 

Basic qualifications:  Bachelor’s degree and possess good organizational, interpersonal and basic computing skills. Must have USSF C Coaching license or NSCAA National Coaching license.  Microsoft Word, Excel, & Lotus and 1 year Division 1 college playing or coaching experience.  Must have a valid drivers license with less than six points.

 

Preferred qualifications:  Intercollegiate athletics experience with proven ability to recruit and assist in coaching a dedicated men’s soccer program in NCAA Championship competition.
