BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTION:

 

The purpose of this position is to technically lead and manage the Aerospace Mechanics Group that is located primarily at the Caldwell Street Center (CSC). Responsibilities include providing in depth knowledge of design, analysis, manufacture, and testing of air vehicles.

 

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

 

The ideal candidate must have an advanced degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Civil Engineering, or Engineering Mechanics.  The candidate must have in depth knowledge of design, analysis, manufacture, and testing of air vehicles.  The candidate must have twelve plus years of experience in engineering problem solving or research and development.  The candidate must have demonstrated experience in developing, obtaining, and managing large complex engineering and research programs.  Knowledge of DoD contracting is a plus.  In depth understanding of and experience with all of the following is mandatory:  design, analysis, and testing of air vehicle systems, and computational fluid dynamics (CFD).  Experience with wind tunnels is a plus. The candidate must have strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills, and must be able to manage personnel as well as interact effectively with other professionals and customers.  Applicant selected must be a US citizen or Permanent Resident and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
