NOTICE OF POSITION OPENING DEPARTMENT: Admission POSTING DATE: May 31, 2006 POSITION TITLE: Admission Counselor (A) POSITION IS: Full time/35 hrs per week/12 months HIRING RANGE: Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience DATE AVAILABLE: July 2006
BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTION:
Responsibilities include interviewing of prospective students and reviewing college admission applications; extensive travel throughout the US; follow-up communications to prospective students and families; creating and designing programs to meet enrollment goals; use of technology to help meet enrollment goals; and performing other related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of one to two years experience in college admission, financial aid or student services required. Technical skills and database management are essential along with the ability to effectively communicate (both verbal and written). A valid driver’s license and availability of evening and weekend work is required. Familiarity with the University of Dayton and the Society of Mary will be favorably considered.
