HIRING RANGE:             $10.48 per hour minimum

BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTION:

 

The Administrative Secretary in Campus Ministry’s Center for Social Concern performs a wide variety of secretarial and receptionist duties mostly for the Center for Social Concern (CSC) but also for the general Campus Ministry team.  Responsibilities include maintaining the department’s databases, vehicle scheduling and billing, recording CSC expenditures and income, taking and typing minutes at meetings, updating a website, welcoming and directing visitors and phone calls to the office, and other administrative duties as needed.

 

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

 

Some college education/Associates degree is preferred.  Must be able to work independently and manage an office with little supervision, and be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Access, Excel, FrontPage, PowerPoint), Lotus Notes (or similar email and calendar software programs), and operating office equipment.  Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to maintain and process accurate documentation and publications.  Must have excellent record-keeping and bookkeeping skills.  Strong organizational skills, including the ability to perform multiple duties and responsibilities, show sound judgment and initiative.  Ability to embody and model the Catholic and Marianist character and mission of the University.  Ability to welcome a diverse group of students, faculty, staff and visitors with friendly hospitality, and efficiently respond to their needs.
