POSITION IS:                     Full time/40 hours per week/12 months

HIRING RANGE:            Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience

BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Administrative Associate is responsible for the administrative operations, contract reporting, financial tracking and correspondence for the Multi-Scale Composites & Polymers Division.  Daily operations include management of purchase orders, proposal documents, employee time cards, assigning account numbers, report filing, travel forms, etc...  The administrative associate reports to the division head and is the primary interface between the division office operation and the UDRI administrative offices. 

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

Basic qualifications:  The individual in this role must possess; knowledge of contract administration, management and basic business and accounting principles / techniques utilized in the Division.  The ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment in the performance of duties.  Knowledge and understanding of basic principles and techniques in problem solving and decision making.  Ability to perform independently with only minimal direction.  Knowledge of UDRI policies / procedures and ability to apply these in day-to-day administrative duties.  Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook; Netscape software operations and UDRI accounting software.  Must have excellent communication skills, primarily in editing grammar and formatting of technical reports.
