BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTION:

The primary purpose of this position is to perform professional level administrative functions for the Materials Engineering Division.  The major portions of the responsibilities for this position are as administrative coordinator for the Quick Reaction Evaluation of Materials and Processes (QRE) contract, a multi-disciplinary $16 million/six year program.  Administrative associate responsibilities include budget control, analysis and reporting, contract modifications, subcontracting, and coordinating all financial, performance, and technical program reporting and other requirements of the Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL). This is a 20 hour per week position with the potential to grow to a full time position.

 

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

High school diploma or equivalent.  Extensive working knowledge of UDRI contract administration and management procedures, and IFAS Contracts Management Program, and basic business and accounting principles and techniques utilized in the division.  Quick and creative mindset, ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment in the performance of duties in a timely manner, meeting deadlines and maintaining an orderly and efficient atmosphere.  Knowledge and understanding of basic principles and techniques in problem solving and decision-making.  Ability to perform complex work regularly.  Mastery of Microsoft Office software applications.  Excellent people skills a must in interfacing with contractors, customers, staff and students.
