BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Administrative Assistant is a dual appointment in the Department of Military Science and the Dean’s Office of the College of Arts and Sciences. In the Department of Military Science responsibilities will include assisting the Assistant Professor of Military Science with the administrative requirements for the processing and enrollment of Army Reserve Officer Training Corps (AROTC) prospects to contracted cadets within the program. Theses responsibilities will include non-scholarship, scholarship, Reserve Forces and active duty prospects interested in our program. In the Dean’s Office, responsibilities will include assisting the College’s web editor in the development and management of College web pages for Internet application.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:
High School diploma or equivalent required. Knowledge of a Windows Operating System with proficiency in MS Word, Access, Excel, and PowerPoint. Must have the ability to learn how to reference Cadet Command Forms and Regulations in order to manage and develop cadet actions within the office; general knowledge or ability to learn the different degree requirements within the University of Dayton in the preparation of Academic Review Sheets. Must be able to create and modify web pages utilizing a content management system under minimal guidance and general knowledge of HTML and experience in marketing and writing is preferred.
