BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Department of Health and Sport Science at the University of Dayton invites applications for one full-time and one part-time Administrative Assistant position in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program. The program administrative assistant will provide direct support to the Doctor of Physical Therapy program and the office of clinical education. The primary duties include, but are not limited to: graduation audits, scheduling, coordination of office functions, communications, coordination of clinical education, supervision of Center Coordinators for Clinical Education, development, maintenance and management of program files, Coordination of program admissions, management of special projects and events, and reception.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:
High School diploma or equivalent required. Must have knowledge of Windows Operating Systems with proficiency in MS Word, Access, Excel, and PowerPoint. Previous experience working in higher education setting and ability to multi-task and prioritize appropriately. Strong written and verbal communication abilities and excellent interpersonal relationship skills a must. Attention to detail and ability to thoroughly follow through on directions and specific instructions.
Preferred: Associates degree or higher. Previous experience working in a physical therapist educational program or physical therapy practice. Excellent computer knowledge to include familiarity with Lotus Notes, Web based programs, e-mail, and basic computer functions; and experience with desktop publishing and ability to create high-quality printed brochures and materials.
