Programs Sponsored by the Office of Human Resources

The Office of Human Resources offers free professional and educational programs to employees throughout the academic year.  The human resources training calendar for the 2008 Winter semester may be accessed by clicking on Training Calendar.  To register for a program, click on the human resources registration site at the following address:  http://applications.udayton.edu/admin/HR/HRcourse.nsfYou must have your Lotus Notes Internet user name and password to register.

Continuing Education

Benefits eligible employees who work 1000+ hours a year may, upon hire and with their supervisors’ approval, enroll in special non-credit continuing education courses offered on a space-available basis. They must register through the program office which sponsors the session, and also complete a continuing education form prior to the beginning of each course. A detailed summary of this employee benefit is available for Exempt and Non-Exempt employees and Faculty members

Continuing education opportunities are offered by several departments/schools on campus including the ones listed below.  Many of these programs are announced on the fac/staff list and/or in print media.  For more information regarding individual offerings, please contact the department or school.

Center for Leadership and Executive Development Programs

CL&ED, a department in the School of Business Administration, provides both executive and supervisory programming for UD employees.  Information on the Center's Successful Supervisor Series can be found at the following link:

Special Programs and Continuing Education (SP/CE)

The SP/CE department offers non-credit opportunities for personal and professional development, including workshops, courses, teleconferences and conferences. Center for Competitive Change

The CCC, under the auspices of the School of Engineering, offers several continuing education programs.

Center for Portfolio Management

The School of Business' Center for Portfolio Management sponsors the UD RISE Symposium each year which attracts finance practitioners, students and faculty/staff participants.

UDit Training Department

UDit supports students, faculty, and staff in becoming more competent and effective in their use of technology on campus.  To access UDit training, go to http://training.udayton.edu.
