The department's computing laboratories are located in 131/135 Anderson Hall. The Anderson Center, completed in 1986, provides a excellent setting for the Department of Computer Science. Another computer laboratory is located in Miriam Hall 21A, and is especially utilized for introductory courses. Our labs contain state-of-the-art equipment, including:

  • 15 high-performance Sun SPARCstation systems (running UNIX) which support a variety of software development and networking tools, such as the OPNET Modeler simulation software and the Oracle 8 database management system.
  • Personal Computers: The department has three PC laboratories which are networked together to provide access to departmental and University computing equipment from any station. Students begin their computing experience in a Windows XP laboratory containing 32 Windows XP Workstations which operate as clients to several Windows 2003 Servers.
