The student chapter has existed at the University of Dayton since 1926.
This site is dedicated to providing information to the
student
members and to others interested in the organization.
The American Society of Civil Engineers, founded in 1852,
is the oldest
national professional engineering society in the United States.
The University of Dayton received a charter in 1926.
There
were 24 members who each paid $0.50 to join. Today, there are
many more members who pay $10.00 to become a member. The ASCE
student chapter provides civil engineering students with the
opportunity to begin a relationship with professional associations
through its activities.
