George Antheil is a name now forgotten, but when this American pianist and composer
played the halls of Paris in the 1920s, he drew packed houses--and his revolutionary
music drew passionate cheers as well as jeers. Known as the "Bad Boy of Music," Antheil
was one of the most adventurous of modern musicians, and an inspiration for the pianist
Guy Livingston (see below for his concert details). This documentary traces Antheil's
tumultuous life and work, from the notorious staging of Ballet mecanique to his work
in Hollywood. No tickets required for this FREE event. www.antheil.org
