We are pleased to offer the drivers training certification process online as a substitute for attending a "live" session.

Once an individual completes the session, their information is automatically forwarded to me.  I then run their motor vehicle report which can take up to 5 days to receive.  If the individual is certain that their license is valid and that they do not have 6 or more points, then I will be able to add them to the insurance coverage without difficulty.  If they suspect that their license is not clear in this regard, they should contact my office upon completion of their session so I can call them once their info is obtained to confirm whether or not I can add them to the insurance.

In order to take an online drivers training session, please visit our website at the link listed below. Under the Risk Management section you will see a link for drivers training. Click on "online training" and you will be prompted to enter your novell user name and password.  Entering the name and password also serves as an official signature giving permission to our office to run the drivers motor vehicle report which is required in order to be added to the University's insurance coverage.

Upon logging in, the 15-minute slide show begins. Afterwards, you will be prompted to submit information and take a short quiz.  (Note that after listening to the slideshow, a screen will prompt the user to click to submit info and take the test. Due to programming difficulties, you will need to scroll down and click the tab to the bottom left to continue.) Once the session is completed, the information is automatically emailed to our office.

Unless you are notified by our office, you will be added to the University's insurance coverage. Coverage will be denied if the motor vehicle report shows an invalid or high risk driving record.
The University's policy reads:
" Privileges may also be denied for the following reasons:
1. High Risk - MVR (motor vehicle record) check through the Bureau of Motor Vehicles shows violations totaling 6 or more points or shows a suspended or invalid license.
