Driver's Training Schedule

If you have recently completed the online drivers training session as required by the insurance policy in order to obtain insurance coverage for operating a UD-owned vehicle, golf cart or rental on behalf of the University, please note the following:

• Upon completion of the session,  your motor vehicle report will be ordered. The report is usually received within 4 days. If your record is within the allowable range, you will then be added to the University's coverage.

• Unless you are notified by our office, you will be added to the University's insurance coverage. Coverage will be denied if the motor vehicle report shows an invalid or high risk driving record. The University's policy reads:  *Privileges may also be denied for the following reasons:

  • High Risk - MVR (motor vehicle record) check through the Bureau of Motor Vehicles shows violations totaling 6 or morepoints or shows a suspended or invalid license.

Please feel free to contact our office at 937-229-4503 and we will gladly confirm your insurance coverage.  In addition, let us know if you need an insurance card prior to a trip where you expect to drive a rental vehicle.
