The Church and the Rosary

Many official documents of the church comment upon and encourage the prayer of the rosary.  Last  week we offered a bibliography for those who seek information or inspiration regarding the rosary.  This week we would like to draw your attention to some of the church documents dealing with the rosary.  You will be able to consult two lists of documents. The first list refers to Marian documents in general.  Several of them are by Popes on the rosary. Scroll down to find them or links to them.  The second list, entitled Marian Devotion: Various Forms of Marian Piety is more specific.  It gives direct quotes from Vatican and Post-Vatican II Magisterial documents on Marian piety, and thus, also on the rosary.
