Our Lady of Altötting—Shrine located sixty miles from Munich in a chapel which was part of the imperial palace in 877, but the image of Our Lady dates back only to 1228.
Kevelaer—Located in the Lower Rhine, this shrine contains a picture of the statue of Our Lady of Consolation of Luxemburg. It was brought to its present spot by a soldier in 1642 and quickly gave rise to a great shrine.
