Our Lady of WalsinghamShrine of the Annunciation was founded in the twelfth century with a chapel made according to the dimensions of the house of the Holy Family in Nazareth. Destroyed in 1738, it was revived at another site nearby in 1934, and its statue of Mary with Jesus on her knee was crowned in 1954.
   
Our Lady of Mount Carmel at Aylesford This shrine is situated at a Carmelite friary that began in 1241, was dissolved in 1538, and was reestablished in 1949. It contains a statue of Our Lady Guardian of the Carmelites and the relics of Saint Simon Stock.
