Happiness

People, people, do you know
That there is happiness in this world?
Look at the heavens, pursue with your eyes
The stars, the clouds;
Listen to the song which nature
is singing in your soul,
In the singing of the birds, in the roar of the water,
In the rustle of the leaves on the tree;
And reciprocally compose from yourself
The most beautiful song about heaven, God, angels,
a song of dreams in the noble stroke.

Szczęście

Ludzie, ludzie, wy nie wiecie,
Że jest szczęście na tym świecie
Patrzyć w niebo, gonić okiem
Za gwiazdeczką, za obłokiem,
Słuchać pieśni, które śpiewa
Naszej duszy duch przyrody
W głosie ptasząt, w dźwięku wody,
W szeleszczących listkach drzewa,
I nawzajem wysnuć z siebie
Pieśń piękniejszą, pieśń marzenia
O aniołach i o niebie
l w szlachetne uderzenia.
