Award-winning Video of The Marian Library/International Marian Research Institute

The Fourteenth International Catholic Film and Multimedia Festival took place in Niepokalanow [Warsaw, Poland] from May 19-23, 1999. The festival was sponsored by the Catholic Film Association of Maximilian Maria Kolbe. Thursday evening, May 20, was designated as Marian Evening. The documentary about The Marian Library/International Marian Research Institute, All Generations Will Call Her Blessed, was presented during this evening. The video, directed by Michael R. Kurtz of the University of Dayton, was introduced by Father Antoni Nadbrzezny. The Marian Library/International Marian Research Institute received word in late July that All Generations Will Call Her Blessed was listed under the category of Special Prizes awarded at the festival by a Polish Marian Church Organization called Rycerstwo Niepokalanej. The Katalog of the festival describes the film as follows:

Professionally-produced video documenting the history and mission of The Marian Library/International Marian Research Institute at the University of Dayton, Ohio (USA). This organization is the only Marian Pontifical Institute in the Western hemisphere. The associated library holds the world's largest collection of printed material on the Virgin Mary as well as copious holdings of Marian Art, Audio-Visual and other materials. The video shows the broad backgrounds of students and other visitors who come from many countries. Especially interesting are discussions on some of the rarest books and statues in the collection.
