(A small river in Poland)

The trees shed their leaves to help the Madonna walk through the stream on dry feet.

Jerzy Harasymowicz, Madonna z Krasnejjedli

The diagonally positioned Madonna emerges from a thick collection of leaves, berries, animals, and birds. Her autumn colored robe is decorated with a floral pattern and trimmed with red berries. Even her crown is made of ruby red berries, indicating that she is queen of the forest.
