The Marian Library/International Marian Research Institute received 100 nativity sets from the collection of John and Rose Larish, Rochester, New York, 2005. John Larish is an active alumnus of the University of Dayton and regularly keeps in touch with UD graduates in Rochester. The Larish Collection consists of original works by various artists and of a wide variety of popular artifacts from around the world. Over the years, John and Rose used their collection to bring joy to others through public displays, particularly at St. Anne’s parish and Sacred Heart Cathedral in Rochester.

This collection is available from the Marian Library as a traveling exhibit in its entirety or as partial collections in three categories: nativities in wood, nativities one-piece mixed media, or nativities multi-figure mixed media.
