Bro. Joseph Barrish, SM
Bro. John Lemker, SM
Bro. Lemker excels in nature photography. He has contributed to
Time-Life Books, Sierra Club calendars, International
Wildlife magazine and numerous textbooks. He has exhibited
in Michigan and Ohio, including the University of Dayton Kennedy
Union Gallery and Gallery St. John in Dayton, Ohio.
Bro. Gary Marcinowski, SM
Bro. Marcinowski earned his B.F.A. at Boston University. He works
in a studio setting involved with liturgical space and
furnishings. His work has shown nationally, with pieces in
private and museum collections. Of special interest to him is
contemporary furniture design.
Bro. Brian Zampier, SM
Bro. Zampier's specialization is drawing. He is a graphic
designer at Marianist Press, Dayton, Ohio. His work has been
published in National Catholic Reporter,
America, and Ohio magazine. He holds an M.F.A.
from Syracuse University.
Bro. Mel Meyer, SM
Bro. Don Smith, SM
Bro. Smith specializes in raku - the characteristically Japanese
fired glazed tiles. Recent exhibitions and shows in Ohio include
the University of Dayton Kennedy Union Gallery, Dayton Art Expo
and Sinclair Community College Learning Resource Center in
Dayton. He is a full-time artist in-residence at Mount Saint John
and director of Gallery Saint John.
MARIANIST NETWORK FOR THE ARTS
The Dayton-based exhibitors are members of Marianist Network for
the Arts, a Cincinnati province group of artists "dedicated to
the Marianist spirit of building community, openness, listening
and creative action. [They] aim to inspire others with [their]
creative service, to expand awareness, to foster broad creativity
and to risk a gospel impact with [their] art."
