Artist's Statement

Emil Stoenescu was born in Bucharest, Romania in 1957. He began his art studies early in his school years and continued them at the Academy of Fine Arts of Bucharest, earning his degree in 1980. From then until 1990, he taught art and created a variety of works in different media and techniques, from oil paintings to book graphics, fashion design, and religious art. He participated in major artistic events both at home and abroad.

In the summer of 1990, Emil Stoenescu made his home in Chicago, Illinois where he exhibits his work.
