WHEN DEVOTION MEETS ART:
STATUES OF OUR LADY

This collection of varied twentieth century representations
of Mary, the mother of Jesus, was donated to The Marian
Library, thanks to the generosity of Mr. Gerald Zeier.
The more than 450 statues exhibited here were part of
the former National Shrine of Our Lady of the Green
Scapular in Palmyra, Wisconsin, established and cared
for over a period of many years by the late Fr. Jerome
Mersberger and Ms. Marianne Zeier. This exhibit is a
tribute to their dedication and generosity.
