Minimal Art? Northern religiosity, Scandinavian in particular, is not known for its high spirits and emotional expansivity. Religion may be a matter of intense interiority, but its outward signs are sober words, empty walls and impassive reverence. This spirit is reflected in our nativity set. Reminiscent of minimal art, and a far cry from Neopolitan drama, these figures convey a message of "do-it-yourself." Indeed, minimal art allows for a maximum of personal involvement. Incarnation begs for a personal touch....your touch, our touch. ML.1123.02
