Otto Dix (German, 1891-1969) Dix exhibited with the Grande Foire Internationale Dada in Berlin in 1920 and with the November-Gruppe in Berlin in 1922. With George Grosz (German, 1893-1959) he founded the New Objectivity Group in 1924. He was declared a degenerate artist by the Nazis and imprisoned. In 1935 he got passage to Switzerland, where he committed himself to be a religious painter. |
