A Pilgrimage with Mary, the First Disciple
November 17 - 19, 2006
6:30 p.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Speakers: Teresa Monaghen, M.A.
Mary is the exemplar of holiness, the First Disciple and our model for discipleship in Christ. The early Christians had a name for her—Theotokos—Greek for “mother of God.” Throughout the centuries Mary has been known by many other names, each with a distinct theme and doctrine that leads us to a life of greater holiness. During this weekend retreat with Teresa Monaghen of the Pro-Sanctity Movement, we shall explore many of these themes and some of the devotions to Mary in something of a Marian Pilgrimage. The weekend includes conferences by Teresa, group and individual prayer, the celebration of the Eucharist, an opportunity for the Sacrament of Reconciliation and rest. Teresa will also be available, as time permits, for spiritual direction.
